Black Lives Matter.

General Mischief Dance Theatre stands in solidarity with our Black friends, artists, colleagues, and community members who have endured incomprehensible oppression and injustice. We wholeheartedly support the protests happening across the nation and we stand together to demand justice, accountability, and peace.

The systems of injustice are complex and entrenched. Dismantling these systems will take all of us working together, one step at a time, for a long time. We recognize the power that dance and theatre have to bring folks together, and as we continue to listen and self-examine our organizational practices, we aim to do more to dismantle racism and ultimately stand by the mission of inclusivity we set out with.
